Mid-talking picture from yesterday😆… Such a blessing to be able to share with a group of ladies from Waterlooville Baptist Church and such a miracle that the Lord gave me strength in my voice to sing!
I shared from Romans 5:1-5, about the hope which does not disappoint, the hope which is an anchor of the soul. We often quote Jeremiah 29:11 about the promise of God to give us a future and a hope, yet do not often read the preceding verse, whereby the Lord tells the nation of Israel they would be taken captive to Babylon for 70 years (a life-time for many). It is when we are in tribulation that we need to hold onto hope. Some of the faces I looked upon yesterday told stories of a lifetime of struggles. Yet the Lord laid it on my heart to share that it is indeed in these years on earth of trial that we need to hold onto the promise of eternity with God made possible by the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross. It is through these trials we learn perseverance, which builds godly character which leads us to hope all the more in meeting our Saviour face to face. As Job so eloquently proclaimed “for I know that my redeemer lives and He shall stand at last on the earth..”
