My son and daughter would no doubt tell you that “mummy has gone flowers” recently (meaning I have a slight obsession with them!). I just love the vibrant colours and incredible detail which brighten the gloomiest corner. It makes me think about the words of Jesus in Matthew chapter 6..
“consider the lilies of the field how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
The flowers serve as a reminder to me firstly that God will provide all of my needs according to His riches, but also that worrying about things is a lack of faith. Not only does He physically clothe us but we are spiritually robed in His righteousness through Jesus… praise Him!
