What a lovely day this week when the amazingly talented @chriswatkinsmedia took these pics for my upcoming album ‘The Battle Belongs to the Lord’ due for release in December!
The Title track is taken from the story of King Jehoshaphat found in 2 Chronicles chapter 20. Seeing an advancing army the King declared “nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You”. The King was told not to be afraid or dismayed but to position himself and see the salvation of the Lord for the battle was God’s. His army lifted their voices in praise singing ‘Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever’. God fought the battle for them.
This album is a reminder to us to lift up our eyes and recognise that the Lord will fight for us, we need not be fearful or dismayed. In an increasingly dark world where being a Christian is becoming harder, it is my prayer that we take courage, stand and praise Him all the more and louder for the the battle belongs to the Lord.
