Easter weekend we travelled up to York to visit my sister and family – such a blessed time. I managed to get her playing on the hymn “In Christ Alone” which I recently recorded. Although it’s a very busy time and I’m not particularly consistent when it comes to posting updates, I felt compelled this morning to write… The first words to this song are “In Christ alone my hope is found”…This made me stop and think. People, plans, health at one point or another will fail us. The only way we can avoid disappointment is by knowing and placing all of our hope alone in Christ. He is calling out to us to draw near to Him. He allows other things to fail us because He wants us to draw near to Him. Nothing can separate us from His love. So if today you feel disappointed with something/someone, realign your thoughts- it is in Christ ALONE we hope and this hope does not disappoint! “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”-Romans 5:5
